STARKVILLE, Miss. — The No. 6 Mississippi State baseball team fell 7-3 Friday night in the first game of a three-game series against the Tulane Green Wave at Dudy Noble Field.
The Bulldogs (3-2, 0-0 SEC) were outhit 8-6 in the contest. The Green Wave (3-2, 0-0 AAC) benefited from four MSU errors and a tremendous night on the mound from right-handed redshirt junior pitcher Braden Olthoff (1-0).
Senior Tanner Allen led MSU with two hits and one RBI. Junior lefty Christian MacLeod (0-1) allowed three unearned runs on three hits with two walks and six strikeouts.
