STARKVILLE, Miss. — Senior quarterback Nick Fitzgerald led the Mississippi State football team to a 28-13 upset win over No. 16 Texas A&M Aggies Saturday night at Davis Wade Stadium.
With the win, MSU improves to 5-3 (3-2 SEC), while the Aggies fall to 5-3 (3-2 SEC).
The lone score of the first quarter came on a 25-yard touchdown pass from Fitzgerald to junior wide receiver Stephen Guidry.
Texas A&M kicked a field goal and scored a touchdown in the second quarter to hold a 10-7 lead at the break.
