Defensive lineman Chris Jones, an NFL draft prospect who was arrested last month for driving with a suspended license, on Tuesday had the arrest retired, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Jones, a Mississippi State product who is projected as a potential first-round pick, was arrested on the suspended license charge on March 17 after he was stopped for speeding in Starkville, Mississippi.
By having the case retired, the prosecution is put on hold for a certain amount of time. If the case is not brought back for prosecution during that time frame, the case will be dismissed.
