Mississippi State’s Scott Field at Davis Wade Stadium has been recognized as Football Field of the Year by the Sports Turf Managers Association for colleges with a natural playing surface.
A panel of 15 judges scored fields based on playability, surface appearance, utilization of innovative solutions, effective use of budget and implementation of a comprehensive agronomic program.
“This is a driving force that we shoot for every year,” said MSU superintendent of sports turf facilities management Brandon Hardin. “It’s a fantastic honor, and it’s been a goal of mine since I started here to win this again.
