When Mississippi State won this game vs. #1 LSU in the bottom of the 12th inning, they needed it in the worst way. After what happened in Game 1 and then in the 9th inning of this game, you have to wonder if this team isn’t just not very good but snake bit as well.
Ross Mitchell finally looked like Ross Mitchell again. He shut down LSU while State was able to take the lead on a Gavin Collins home run and then added a couple more runs in the bottom of the 8th.
Then, up 7-4 with two outs in the 9th inning, the wheels came off.
