For the first time in 15 years, Mississippi State and Southern Miss will meet in men’s basketball.
The Hattiesburg American reported the two schools have agreed to play four neutral site games at the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson over the next four years.
The first game in the series will be held on Dec. 19 this year, Dec. 22 in 2018 and Dec. 23 in 2017 and 2019.
The Bulldogs won the last meeting against USM 75-68 in Starkville as part of the 2001 NIT.
Although MSU leads the overall series 14-4, the Golden Eagles are 2-1 in games played in Jackson.
