A Mississippi State University student died after falling from the top of the Jumbotron at Davis Wade Stadium.
Andrew Scott Demboski, a 21-year-old junior at MSU, died from the fall after climbing to the top of the Jumbotron early Saturday morning with two other male students, Oktibbeha County Coroner Michael Hunt told WTVA-TV.
Demboski slipped and fell onto a platform below the Jumbotron, where he went into cardiac arrest and apparently died from head injuries, WTVA reports.
“It appears to be a tragic accident,” Hunt said, adding that emergency responders worked for an hour to save him.
