Dan Mullen not only finalized his 2016 recruiting class on Wednesday but also his coaching staff as well.
The Daily Journal has confirmed that Mississippi State has hired Maurice Linguist as its new safeties coach. Linguist replaces the vacancy left by Tony Hughes, who departed to be the head coach at Jackson State in December.
Linguist comes to Starkville from Iowa State, where he spent the past two seasons serving as secondary coach. He also worked at Buffalo for two years as co-defensive coordinator, defensive backs coach and recruiting coordinator, three years at James Madison as safeties coach and one year at Valdosta State as defensive backs and special teams coach.
