A member of Mississippi State’s football staff was arrested for driving under the influence early Saturday morning.
Arrest records indicate that recruiting specialist Rod Gibson was arrested by the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department. The Clarion Ledger first reported that Gibson’s arrest occurred at 1:27 a.m. on Highway 182.
MSU is aware of Gibson’s arrest but has not issued a statement at this time.
While it is the first DUI on Gibson’s record, it is the second time for one of Dan Mullen‘s recruiting assistants to be arrested for a DUI. Former recruiting coordinator Mark Ouimet was arrested in 2011 for a DUI on campus and resigned 10 days later.
