The honors continue to roll in for Mississippi State’s Dak Prescott following his six touchdown performance against Kentucky.
In addition to being named the SEC Player of the Week, Prescott picked up recognition as the Football Writers Association of America National Offensive Player of the Week, Manning Award Star of the Week and Davey O’Brien Award top performer.
The 6-foot-2, 230-pounder from Haughton, La., completed 25 of 35 passes for 348 yards, three touchdowns and one interception and also carried 13 times for 117 yards and three more scores against the Wildcats.
Prescott is the first SEC signal caller to throw for over 300 yards and eclipse 100-yards rushing since Auburn’s Cam Newton in 2010.
