Mississippi State reliever Ross Mitchell has been named one of 30 candidates for the Senior CLASS Award. The award is presented to a college senior who excels in the community, classroom, character and competition.
The list will narrowed to 10 finalists and a winner will be announced during the College World Series in June.
Women’s basketball standout LaToya Thomas is the only Bulldog to win the award in 2003 while Tupelo’s Tan White (women’s basketball, 2005), Lawrence Roberts (men’s basketball, 2005), Chelsea Bramlett (softball, 2010) and Johnthan Banks (football, 2012) were all finalists.
