Former Mississippi State Baseball star Mitch Moreland has had a solid major league career. He’s playing in his 8th season at the Major League level and his first season with the Boston Red Sox. But last night, he did something he hadn’t done since 2014 but did on a frequent basis with the Bulldogs.
The Red Sox were getting pounded by the Baltimore Orioles, and as managers often do, Red Sox Manager John Farrell turned to one of his position players late in the game just to finish the game out. The position player Farrell turned to was Mitch Moreland.
