It did not take the newest Bulldog long to bring some good news to the women's tennis program.
The last couple of weeks have been busy for Madison Harrison. After transferring to Mississippi State from Kansas, the new Bulldog snagged the Tallahassee Open singles title Monday. The tournament is part of the 2015 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Summer Circult.
To snag the title, Harrison had to knock off four of the region's top eight seeds over three days, and she picked up five wins total. In the round of 16, Harrison went the distance in defeating No. 4 seed Emma Kurtz 6-2, 3-6, 1-0(7).
