The “Boo” Ferris trophy awarded to the best college baseball player in the state of Mississippi was brought home by Mississippi Sate’s very own Brent Rooker.
Brent Rooker joins the ranks of six other Bulldogs to win the Ferris award, as well as the fourth in six years. Brent Rooker’s impressive regular season ended with him batting: .415, while blasting 20 home runs, and knocking in 72 RIB’s.
These impressive stats all lead the SEC, and he is a legitimate candidate to win the SEC’s Triple Crown. Brent will have to continue his impressive numbers to win the SEC Triple Crown, as postseason numbers will be a factor.
