Mississippi State defeated Miami (Ohio) Monday in the St. Petersburg Bowl. While the Bulldogs’ 17-16 win wasn’t pretty, it was a win.
While fans will continue to break down, debate and recap the 2016 season, another battle continues to be fought off the field, between Mississippi State’s athletic department and the Jackson Clarion-Ledger, Mississippi’s largest print and digital media outlet.
Last year, the Clarion-Ledger confused Mississippi State for Ole Miss. Since that time, there have been multiple situations where Bulldogs faithful and the paper didn’t see eye to eye.
