Mississippi State suffered its third consecutive loss and fifth of the season in a 40-38 setback at Kentucky on Saturday night. The Bulldogs took the lead with just over a minute remaining but fell as time expired on the Wildcats’ 51-yard field goal.

Defense horrid on explosive plays and defending the pass – again
Mississippi State needed to show defensive improvement to get a win at Kentucky and that didn’t happen. The Bulldogs allowed three touchdowns of at least 30 yards and gave up numerous other big plays.
