Mississippi State Women’s Basketball: Bulldogs Fall to South Carolina in SEC Tournament

For the first time all year, Vic Schaefer’s Mississippi State team has lost a game. The Bulldogs fell in the Championship Game of the SEC Tournament to Dawn Staley and the South Carolina Gamecocks 62 to 51.

Mississippi State struggled offensively all day as only Victoria Vivians and Morgan William made it into double digits. Vivians led the way for MSU with 17 points and William scored 10. Star center Teaira McCowan got into foul trouble early on and simply couldn’t get into a rhythm. McCowan finished the game with 6 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 fouls.
