This game figured to be a pitcher’s duel between two of the most talented starters in the nation: Joey Lucchesi and Dakota Hudson. But by the 4th inning it was 4-4, Hudson had his shortest outing of the year and Lucchesi recorded the loss.
SE Missouri was a pesky team through the first half of the game, and MSU didn’t get the lead until the 6th inning. They took leads of 2-0, 4-1 and 5-4 in the game.
Brent Rooker was the main hitting star for MSU as he hit a solo home run in the 2nd inning and followed it up with a three-run shot in the 3rd.
