This Saturday versus Northwestern State, Mississippi State players will be wearing Curing Kids Cancer stickers on their helmets as part of the "Blow the Whistle on Kids Cancer!" campaign. Coaches will also be wearing lanyards, a gold whistle (with gold being the official color of child cancer awareness) and wristbands.
September is the National Childhood Cancer Awareness month. It's the leading cause of disease-related deaths in regards to children. In addition to Mississippi State, most of the SEC programs will demonstrate similar examples of support.
