Cohen played baseball at MSU from 1988-90, reaching the College World Series with the Bulldogs in 1990. Cohen, who was born in Tuscaloosa, AL, was the head baseball coach Kentucky from 2004-2008 before taking the head coaching position at Mississippi State which he's held ever since.
