In the first elimination game of the Tucson Regional in the NCAA Tournament, the Mississippi State sortable team came away with a solid win. The Bulldogs battled back against St. Francis, coming away with a 6 run victory, winning 11-5.
Mississippi State and St. Francis went back and forth throughout the evening. Whenever the Mississippi State Bulldogs would start to pull away from St. Francis, the Red Flash found a way back into the game.
Mississippi State jumped out to a large lead early on, scoring 5 runs through the first three innings. But, St. Francis came back in and tied the game up thanks to a three-run burst in the 4th inning and a pair of runs scored in the 5th inning.
