At 17-3, Mississippi State softball is gearing up take Illinois on in a doubleheader. The Bulldogs are riding high on a 5 game winning streak and will play Illinois in two games this afternoon. The Illini are coming into town at 9-6 and have won 6 straight.
The Bulldogs have played well at home and are a tough opponent to face in Starkville. This year, Mississippi State’s softball team is 14-1 with the lone loss coming to Drake on February 16th. Illinois, on the other hand, has been solid on the road so far. The Illini are 4-1 away from home this year and look to give the Bulldogs issues.
