Mississippi State Softball Mounts Comeback to Beat San Jose State 6-4

Vann Stuedeman and the Mississippi State softball team are still rolling out in California. After splitting a double header on Friday by taking down #23 Nebraska 9-0 and then upending #16 Oklahoma State 9-4, The Bulldogs needed a comeback to beat the Spartans of San Jose State.

To start the game, Stuedeman placed freshman Emily Williams in the circle and had her throw for 2.0 innings, striking out 2, but giving up 3 runs in the process. Though 2 of those runs were unearned, Holly Ward would relieve Williams in the 3rd inning and would wind up finishing the game.
