When Mississippi State Softball plays midweek games, the Bulldogs don a special uniform. From the hats and ribbons and helmets on their heads down to the socks on their feet, Mississippi State softball has teal on their uniforms.
Why?
To support everyone battling ovarian cancer, including one of their own. Freshman Alex Wilcox was diagnosed with the disease back in 2015 while she was in high school. And when Mississippi State welcomed her into the Bulldog family, they began supporting her with a campaign.
Throughout the year, other teams have heard about the No One Fights Alone campaign and have stepped up to raise awareness and to emotionally support both Wilcox and everyone else fighting the disease along with her.
