The Mississippi State softball team came close. They really did. But, unfortunately for Vann Stuedeman and the MSU Bulldogs, close just wasn’t good enough. The Mississippi State softball team fell to the Arizona Wildcats by a score of 4-3.
Mississippi State started the game off quickly, jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning. The Bulldogs appeared ready to take the game over and score at will against the Wildcats. With one out, SEC freshman of the year Mia Davidson stepped up and sent a home run over the fence to give MSU a 1-0 lead.
