Vann Stuedeman and the Mississippi State softball team took to the road today. Their first stop was Birmingham, Alabama today for Mississippi State to battle Samford. The Bulldogs’ game against, well, the Bulldogs, ended in 5 quick innings as MSU won big.
Mississippi State jumped out to a large lead and never looked back. In the top of the first inning with two outs, Sarai Niu got MSU moving with a double to left center, pushing Emily Heimberger across the plate. Carmen Carter followed that up with a double of her own that brought Niu home. Morgan Bell then got the Bulldogs a 3-0 advantage.
