Mississippi State Softball Beats Texas A&M, Wins First SEC Tournament Game In 13 Years

The Mississippi State softball team just ended a 13 year SEC Tournament drought! The Bulldogs claimed a win over the No. 13 Texas A&M Aggies to advance on to the second round of the SEC Tournament after coming out on top in a 2-0 pitchers duel.

Holly Ward led the Bulldogs today by shutting out the Texas A&M offense, a feat that is incredibly difficult to do. Ward, in a 7.0 inning complete game effort, threw 108 pitches and struck out 4 batters in the process. On top of that, Ward kept the13th ranked Aggies from touching home plate at all.
