With the Bulldog Slamboree Invitational coming to a close, Mississippi State’s softball claimed a shutout victory. The Bulldogs beat the Bearkats of Sam Houston State 5-0 this afternoon. This comes after Mississippi State beat Sam Houston State 9-0 yesterday. This is MSU’s 9th shutout of the season.
Vann Stuedeman started Holly Ward who would go on to throw a complete game. Ward only threw 92 pitches in those 7 innings while striking 10 batters out. The Bearkats were only able to get a pair of hits off of Ward. On the year, Holly Ward’s record is now a team leading 7-2.
