What has been a near certainty for much of this season became a reality on Sunday night. Postseason baseball is returning to Starkville.
Mississippi State was selected as one of 16 NCAA Regional host sites on Sunday. It marks the first time since 2016 that NCAA Tournament games will be played at Dudy Noble Field.
Full brackets for this year’s event will not be revealed until 11 a.m. Monday, however it’s expected that MSU will also earn the distinction of being one of eight national seeds, meaning that should Mississippi State win its regional this coming weekend, the Bulldogs would then host a Super Regional in Starkville the following week.
