Mississippi State enters year eight of the Dan Mullen era looking to expand on recent success and continue to move the program forward. The Bulldogs have been to six consecutive bowl games and enjoyed arguably more success than any other time in the program’s history.
But to continue on that trajectory, the Bulldogs must find replacements for some key players, most notably quarterback Dak Prescott. The Bulldogs won 19 games in the past two seasons – the most in a two-year stretch in school history – and spent five weeks at No. 1 under Prescott.
Additionally, Mullen and his all-new new defensive staff have work to do on that side of the ball to ensure that the program makes its seventh consecutive bowl game.
