Let’s pass out some grades for Mississippi State’s 45-17 victory vs. Troy…..

45 points is a lot but the defense scored one touchdown and special teams scored another. So 31 points. Still not bad, but the running game was less than mediocre….again. This was Troy, a team that looked like they’d struggle with Northwestern State, and the Bulldogs still could not run the football. Granted, this game featured back-up quarterbacks for three quarters plus, State should have found a way to get something going. At this point I’ve lost all hope that the running backs will be able to piece together a decent attack.
