Mississippi State players ringing bells for a cause

Fans who have spent more than a few minutes inside Davis Wade Stadium won’t be shocked to see how some Bulldogs players are spending the middle of December.

Several Mississippi State football players and coaches worked with the Salvation Army ringing bells outside grocery stores in Starkville on Monday and Tuesday, part of the familiar donation drive during the Christmas season.

For Mississippi State, where clanging cowbells is a way of life, it’s hard to imagine a more appropriate way to volunteer.

Coach Dan Mullen posted a photo of eight Bulldogs outside a Kroger grocery store.
