Mississippi State loses another wide receiver for spring

Gray was sixth on the team in catches last season with 21, and he also had two TDs. He is expected to play a much bigger role this season.

The Bulldogs already were without senior Fred Ross, who had surgery for a groin injury. He was Mississippi State’s leading receiver in 2015, with 88 catches for 1,007 yards and five touchdowns.

Senior Fred Brown and sophomore Malik Dear, who were fourth and fifth, respectively, on the team in receiving last season, figure to be the top two receivers when Mississippi State scrimmages Saturday.
