2016 has been an incredible success for Mississippi State in a number of ways. Now they’ll have a prime opportunity to play for a national championship as the No. 6 overall seed.
The Bulldogs finished last place in the SEC in 2015 but won the league in 2016. They won the most conference games in school history (21) and the first SEC title since 1989.
After going 1-2 in the SEC Tournament, State is ready to move on to Regional play…where the rubber meets the road. Here are the teams in the Starkville Regional:
- Mississippi State
- Cal State Fullerton
- Louisiana Tech
- SE Missouri State
This is MSU’s first time to host since 2013 when they beat South Alabama, Mercer and Central Arkansas.
