Jay Perry, a Starkville native and Mississippi State graduate, has been named director of player development for the Bulldogs football program, coach Dan Mullen announced Friday.
Perry will serve as an administrative resource for Mississippi State football student-athletes in all phases of their development, according to the team’s official website. One of his main responsibilities includes serving as a liasion with the athletic department’s life skills and mentor programs, as well as serving as a liasion for NFL scouts.
“Jay is someone our players will respect tremendously,” Mullen said. “We want to be proactive in helping our players develop for life after football.
