When Joe Moorhead became the head coach of the Mississippi State football team, there was plenty of excitement from fans of the Bulldogs due to his reputation as an offensive guru. The hype around him exuded out from the fanbase and many outside of Starkville who weren’t even affiliated with Mississippi State but were fans of Moorhead himself were intrigued by the pairing.
After all, the hiring of a genius offensive coordinator to step in and inherit a team built to succeed immediately as a head coach seemed like a match made in heaven. Moorhead was getting a loaded roster with plenty of talent on the offensive side of the ball.
