Throughout Dan Mullen’s time in Starkville as the head coach of Mississippi State football, his teams excelled at several things. However, many fans were often frustrated by Mullen’s inability to consistently piece together strong offensive lines.
There have been a few really good units, but his team seemed to struggle in this aspect more than it should have.
That changed a bit last year. Last season, the Mississippi State football team put together a strong offensive line. That line guided the Bulldogs’ rushing attack and prevented Nick Fitzgerald from taking too many unnecessary hits. It struggled at times against elite defensive units, but the offensive line impressed many last year.
