As the focal point of LSU’s offense is its dynamic wideout duo that is Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase, Mississippi State’s corners will have to show up. Cameron Dantzler and Maurice Smitherman are sure to be man to man with both Jefferson and Chase. Look for a battle throughout, as each matchup could be game changing.

Dantzler and Smitherman can set the tone defensively, but must get off to a quick start.
