The Mississippi State football team completely overwhelmed their first two opponents of the 2018 season. The Bulldogs won their first game of the season against FCS opponent Stephen F. Austin 63-6. They followed that performance with a 31-10 beatdown of Big 12 opponent Kansas State on the road.
The Bulldogs also covered the point spread in both of those games. The Mississippi State football team was a 48 point favorite in the season opener against Stephen F. Austin, and they won by 57 points. This past Saturday, the Bulldogs took the field as a 9.5 point favorite after opening up the week as a 6 point favorite.
