The No. 18 Mississippi State football team beating Kansas State helped move the Bulldogs up a couple spot in the most recent version of the 2018 AP poll. After the Bulldogs steamrolled right over the Kansas State Wildcats in the second week of the season, MSU moved up from the No. 18 spot to the No. 16 ranking.
To help the Bulldogs move up a few spots in the poll, the Southern California Trojans fell against the Stanford Cardinal and Michigan State lost on the road to Arizona State and Herm Edwards.
