Another assistant coach for the Mississippi State football team is reportedly leaving Starkville, Mississippi. This time, Luke Getsy, the former wide receivers coach for the Mississippi State Bulldogs, is heading on up to the NFL.
According to a report by Steve Robertson of 247Sports, Getsy is truly, officially leaving the Bulldogs.
Interestingly enough, Getsy is about to coach for the team that he was coaching for prior to joining the Bulldogs. The Green Bay Packers, Getsy’s former employer, have come calling and want him to return back to Wisconsin to coach their quarterbacks.
That includes Aaron Rodgers, for those that weren’t sure of the Packers’ current quarterback situation.
