Throughout the offseason, Mississippi State football coach Joe Moorhead was considered one of the bet coaching hires in the country. The Bulldogs grabbed one of the brightest offensive minds in all of college football, and people thought the Bulldogs wouldn’t miss a beat transitioning from Dan Mullen to their new head coach.
Fast forward to September 22nd, and the Mississippi State football team suffered their most deflating loss since the 2016 season opener to South Alabama. The Bulldogs entered the game against Kentucky having won 8 of the previous 9 games in the series. Mississippi State won the game last year in Starkville by 38 points.
