For the second time this season, the Mississippi State football team won a must win game. This season, there have been a couple of moments in which the Bulldogs needed to get a win to get this season back on track. The first instance was against Auburn. MSU bounced back and was led by Nick Fitzgerald to victory via his running ability. The second such event was last night when Fitzgerald tore Texas A&M’s defense apart entirely.
Mississippi State was able to jump out ahead of the Texas A&M Aggies with a solid opening drive. Fitzgerald moved the Bulldogs down the field, completing the vast majority of his passes and leading MSU on a 12 play, 79 yard scoring drive capped with a touchdown pass to Stephen Guidry to put Mississippi State up 7-0.
