After the Iowa Hawkeyes defeated the Mississippi State football team in the Outback Bowl, the outlook and perception of the 2018 Mississippi State football season changed drastically. The Bulldogs had plenty of momentum heading into bowl season and looked to finish the year on a high note after improving down the stretch of the season.
That Outback Bowl loss made everything seem a bit more sour than it should be. The Bulldogs looked complete helpless at times against Iowa and the Hawkeyes took advantage of Mississippi State’s defense better than most other teams had.
That’s frustrating and infuriating.
