After throttling Kansas State behind Kylin Hill’s brilliance, the Mississippi State football team moved up a couple of spots in the 2018 Amway Coaches Poll. Coming into the week, the Bulldogs were ranked by the poll as the 18th best team in the country. Following the Bulldogs’ dominant win in week two, Mississippi State jumped on up to No. 16.
The Bulldogs earned their ranking after a huge, three touchdown victory on the road against Kansas State while also having a few teams in front of MSU tumbling down the polls following some rough losses.
Southern California and Michigan State both looked bad in week two.
