It’s hard to ask for anything more out of an opening season win. The Mississippi State football team bulldozed right on through the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks en route to a 63-6 win to open the 2018 season.
Statistically, the Bulldogs were fine just about everywhere across the board. Seeing as Mississippi State scored 63 points, the offense was explosive and clearly had no issue scoring whenever it needed to. Looking over at the defensive side of things, Mississippi State caused plenty of headaches for Stephen F. Austin’s quarterbacks and offensive coordinator.
On offense, Mississippi State racked up a total of 618 yards, 25 first downs, nine touchdowns, and zero turnovers.
