In a disappointing finish to Mississippi State’s (3-4 overall) time at Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi, Texas, the Bulldogs dropped a game to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (6-1 overall) by a score of 6-3 yesterday.
The Islanders of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi wasted no time getting on the board, striking the Bulldogs early with an RBI single in the 1st inning. Mississippi State freshman Justin Foscue would tie things up, however, with a home run to left field in the 3rd, bringing the score to 1-1.
That tie, unfortunately, wouldn’t last for very long as the Islanders would strike again with another RBI single, this time scoring two runs just an inning later, putting Mississippi State behind 3-1.
