The Bulldogs were simply outplayed by the Tigers, as Mississippi State’s regular season ended in a bitter loss.
Though Myah Taylor was the team’s leading scorer with 11 points, she was relatively held in check. Taylor was the lone Bulldog in double-figures. Defensively, Mississippi State had no answer. Missouri scored at will, particularly from distance. Shug Dickson led all scorers with a game-high 16 points.
Going forward, look for Nikki McCray-Penson and the Bulldogs to put an emphasis on defense. Mississippi State must make the proper adjustments, as they will face LSU in the SEC tournament. Expect the Bulldogs to be on point with a chip on their shoulder come Thursday.
