Despite taking the series yesterday, Mississippi State struggled at times in Saturday's back and forth battle with Georgia.
Mississippi State (17-7-1, 4-2 SEC) closed out the weekend series against Georgia (15-10, 2-4) with an 11-8 loss Saturday afternoon.
This matchup was a back and forth battle that certainly was not lacking in hot bats. UGA went 15-40 at the plate for a team batting average of .375. Mississippi State was not far behind with 10 hits from 33 at bats for a team batting average of .303.
After UGA jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the third, MSU quickly turned the table and claimed the lead thanks to Nathaniel Lowe's RBI double that scored Cody Brown.
