Another day, another win, another statement. Though 5th ranked Mississippi State trailed for a hot minute to open the game, a Jazzmun Holmes free throw tied it at three with 8:02 left in the first and it was smooth sailing from there. Speaking of Holmes, she posted 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals, as she has always shined defensively. Furthermore, Holmes has significantly improved from the line, having made nine of ten.
Teaira McCowan and Anriel Howard both ruled the paint and combined for 29 of the Bulldogs’ 82 points. McCowan had yet another double double with 13 points and 16 rebounds, nine of which were on offense, ultimately creating second opportunities for sharpshooters.
